Call it a poncho or call it a shoulder wrap, this unusual but oh so practical garment will keep you warm while sitting, travelling or walking. The pattern is by world-renowned designer Jo Sharp.

    • The poncho is designed to be made in Jo Sharp Silkroad Ultra, a chunky cuddly yarn of luxurious quality and sheen made from wool, silk and cashmere
    • Super soft to wear, very warm and knits up quickly
    • The poncho features bold horizontal cables, worked flat in short rows
    • It finishes at 48cm (19in) long (without fringe) and 68cm (263/4in) wide at the bottom edge
    • The fringed picot edging is knitted separately and sewn into place
    • The ribbing around the top edge is picked up on a circular needle after the body is done and sewn up
    • A versatile and practical warmer, suitable for everyone from teens to great grandmothers
    • Would look terrific in any of the 12 different shades of Silkroad Ultra yarn
    • Suitable for knitters with intermediate skills
