How would you describe your particular craft style?I like to think my style is clean and fresh. I love to use bold colours along with light tones and I also love to combine different techniques and play with different textures. Above all, I believe in the beauty of simplicity and choosing colours well – they are key for me.

Did your distinctive style happen over time or was it immediate when you started stitching?Finding my style has been a process. It wasn’t immediate, and I think it’s constantly evolving. Although some features always stay, I let others change from time to time, and this sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t - you never know. Sometimes, a mistake becomes a permanent feature in your work, and this is extremely exciting.

Other than crafting, how do you like to spend your time? I love spending time with the family. I don’t get to see some of them often, so when I do, it’s the best. I also love going to the movies and discovering new restaurants with my husband, Albert. Travelling is very important to us, too; we have a long list of places we want to visit and we are always ready to pack our luggage and jump on a plane.

Do you listen to music or watch TV while you sew…what do you like to listen to/watch? If Albert is at home and we are both working on something, we normally listen music. Don’t ask me the names of the bands, because he’s the one in charge of it; I’m the worst with music! If I’m alone, I normally have the TV on, ‘specially in the mornings when I want to hear the news. I like to be well informed. After that, I don’t care much; I just like to have a bit of background noise. I love watching television shows and movies, but not when I’m working; I prefer watching them at night while relaxing and drinking a cup of tea.

Do you like haberdashery shopping alone or with friends? I think alone, because I need a lot of time when I do so. I can spend hours just deciding what shade of green to choose, and if I have people waiting for me, it makes me nervous. The only person I can go with is my mum, because she’s exactly like me, so we can both spend as much time as we need.

What are you top 5 fave craft blogs? Actually, if I’m honest, I prefer reading blogs that aren’t related to the craft world. When I started reading blogs, I went straight for the crafty ones, but then slowly I saw that I was more interested in discovering blogs that seemed very far from what I like to do. I follow lots of blogs about cooking, lifestyle, interior design, etc. But maybe I would say A Beautiful Mess (they have something special that keeps me going to their blog again and again), The Purl Bee, Poppytalk, nanaCompany and Mini-Eco.
