Chapter 1: Meet Michelle Marvig (3 min)
Meet quilt designer and teacher, Michelle Marvig as she introduces you to the project quilt featuring a traditional quilt block you’ll be making using 2 1/2in precut fabric strips.
Chapter 2: Fabric selection process (12 min)
Before you start sewing, Michelle talks you through how to select your fabrics for the project, looking at colours and fabrics, and how to choose the right ones for your quilt and then how to sort your fabrics for the quilt layout.
Chapter 3: Cutting the triangles, squares and rectangles (10 min)
Michelle then takes you through breaking down the units you will need to cut, and then moving on to cutting them from your fabric strips with templates and rulers.
Chapter 4: Piecing the triangles and blocks (30 min)
Then its time to head to the sewing machine, as Michelle shows you how to piece the individual units then how to join them together to give you the different units for your block.
Chapter 5: Assembling the blocks and borders (10 min)
Michelle then shows you how to join the block units to give you the overall effect of the quilt design, and then finishing off with a border.
