The patchwork for the centre panel are based on foundation piecing. A good working knowledge of this technique is assumed.
Linda used blanket stitch, chain stitch, chevron stitch, Cretan stitch, double feather stitch, herringbone stitch, lazy daisy (detached chain) stitch and stem stitch worked with two strands of embroidery floss on her quilt.
Quilt as desired. Linda worked a variety of free-motion stitches by machine on her quilt - stitching around, not over, her applique and embroidery. She then quilted a flowing feather design in the border.
This project is recommended for an advanced crafter who would like to extend their quilting skills.
