“I created my first range of quilt patterns with a girlfriend, and we started a company called Hot Possum. We had four children between us and did craft shows with babies hidden in cribs under tables. Then, later, my youngest grew up in the shop, sleeping in a portable cot in the yard out the back!”

“I’ve never counted them, but I’ve done hundreds of projects. I’ve been designing professionally for 17 years, so have managed to notch up many designs. Most are in the attic, where I confess I have boxes and boxes full of projects I’m sure someone will enjoy one day! But some are displayed in my home and, of course, my three children have claimed some, too.”

“As a young child, I was always fascinated by the wonderful items my grandmother made. When she first introduced me to sewing, crochet and hand embroidery, I felt at home. It all seemed very natural to me, and I picked things up quickly, excited by what I could begin creating myself.”
