Did your distinctive style happen over time or was it immediate when you started? I find it hard to describe my style - I’d have to let others judge that, I think - but , generally, it has changed a little over time. I think everyone's does. I’m still attracted to the same colours and themes, reproductions, piecing and appliqué, but other colours are finding a way into my stash lately.

Other than crafting, how do you like to spend your time? I really love being in my garden - although it [the garden] would say I am never there! Otherwise, being with family and friends, watching movies, cooking and helping with farm work can all make up part of the day.

If the good fairy granted you three wishes, what would you like them to be?The obvious answer is more time! I would also like to travel overseas. And, of course, good health so that I can finish all the projects and do all I want to do.

Do you listen to music/radio or watch television while you sew? What your preference? Yes, the radio is always on during the day, but, at night and in the car, there’s always music - all the good stuff from the ‘80s and ‘90s, with some new music as well. I lean towards anything upbeat that’s good to sing and dance to!

Do you like haby/patchwork shopping alone or with friends? I think spending time shopping with a friend is always a good idea. It can be dangerous, though, because you can end up buying things you really don't need. If I’m looking for fabric for a new quilt, I do prefer to do that on my own, if I can.
