Quilt as desired. Ruth quilted by machine. She began by stitching in the ditch along the edges of the leaves and stems in thread to match the applique fabrics. She then drew large leaf shapes on the background fabric, as using a fabric-marking pen and stitched them using free motion quilting in a contrasting thread
